This is a practical, field-based role supporting the delivery of environmental programmes across pest management, restoration, monitoring, and biodiversity protection. You will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, effectively, and in alignment with our hapū values.
Your mahi will include:
Pest plant and pest animal management
Restoration planting and biodiversity monitoring
Field operations including herbicide application and vegetation control
Supporting ecological surveys, GIS mapping, and data collection
Contributing to environmental projects across the rohe
Upholding tikanga Māori and working within a kaupapa Māori environment

You will be experienced in environmental field work, or bring relevant skills and a strong commitment to protecting our taiao.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Passionate about taiao and kaupapa Māori
Confident working outdoors in varied terrain
Reliable, practical, and safety-focused
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Quad, tractor, LUV and 4x4 driving certifications
GrowSafe Applied Certificate Level 4
Registered Chemical Applicator Certificate
Bush navigation certification
Diploma in Environmental Science (or equivalent)
IDEAL BUT NOT REQUIRED
NZ Firearms Licence
Chainsaw certification
